Metaphysical meaning of Anak (mbd)

Metaphysical meaning of Anak (mbd)
Anak a'-nak (Heb.)--long-necked; giant; collar.Son of Arba, a giant (Josh. 21:11).

Meta. The home of Anak and his three sons was in Hebron (the front brain or seat of conscious thought). Anak symbolizes the belief that the intellect functioning in material thought is the seat of power and the source of Truth. This belief is very strongly intrenched (giant) in the mind of him who is unawakened spiritually, and it causes him to be very bold and brazen (long necked) in exalting his personality; he thinks that the meekness and humility of spiritual Truth are foolish and weak. In the end, however, Truth always triumphs over error. Adherence to the true God overcomes all seemingly intellectual giants in our Promised Land. (See AHIMAN.)
