Eliud, e-h'-ud (Heb.)--God of Judah: God of the Jews; God of majesty; God of celebration; God my praise.

Son of Achim and father of Eleazar, in the genealogy of Jesus (Matt. 1:14).

Meta. Praise and exaltation of God, Spirit, as being in authority, as being King of Kings and Lord of Lords. This attitude of mind is necessary that the Christ may be born into one's consciousness.
